How do we know that Ernst Udet did commit suicide and wasn't murdered by the Nazis?

German propagandists "informed" the general population, including Udet's mother, not that Udet had committed suicide but rather that he died while testing a secret weapon. He was given a hero's burial under this deception.

Various officers like Galland were aware of the suicide. Apparently it was obvious to those he was close with that the pressures and double-crossings of Göring and Milch drove Udet to end it all.

Yes, cc with that. and to add, if it wasnt for those 2 driving Udet to suicide, Moelders would perhaps still have been alive and not crashed in trip to the funeral.

I am not sure what your distinction is and to
what purpose. Udet was murdered by the Nazis
(at least a few of them) but the method was his own hand. There was a lot of that in those days.

The way i understand it due to his service in world war one they 'allowed' him to kill himself rather than him have a helping hand!
