Hi all

I am currently in the final stages of construction of the new Eduard Albatros D.II kit. Problem is I HATE > Natural Plywood finishes. I just can't get to grips with them. What I am looking for is an alternative scheme for a D.II with a painted fuselage.
I do actually own the Datafile Special on Albatros Fighters but it has not come back from the person I loaned it too last year. :

My Gallery
Ian:
I might suggest Alb. D.II (OAW)910/16 from Jasta 5, the picture is on pages 18 and 19 of the Albatros D.II No.11 Datafile. My drawing. Cat. No. Js5-7, Ltn. Max Böhme. It is camouflaged in three colors, Burnt sienna, deep green and light green on the top and side surfaces with pale blue under surfaces. the number 8 is displayed on the fuselage sides and turtledeck.
Blue skies,
Dan-San

Ah cheers.
But (sorry and all that) the profile shows a late D.II (Wing rads) the kit i have is the early elephant ears version. I had alredy built the engine and altered the fuselage sides to take the plumbing for the rads.
