Does anyone know more of the story of this triplane-seaplane ? I recently saw a picture of it and wondered if the thing ever flew and with what results ?

Thanks and best from Regulus

My pet aircraft of WW1

It was delivered on October 31, 1918 to Felixstowe, but did not see any active service. It had a couple of test flights and then was dismantled and sent to the USA to attempt the Atlantic flight. It however crashed on takeoff and Lt McLeod the wireless operator drowned. An Australian, Lt Col PFM Fellowes was the pilot.

From what I can understand it was not repaired.
