kosciuszko squadron

HELP!!
i am looking for some information regards s a book Kosciuszko:We are here, by Janusz Cisek. Has anyone read this book? It is expensive at 25-40 range, for a softback book at that.
I already have FLight of Eagles by Karolevitz and Fenn: does the newer book add much information beyond what FLight of Eagles has?
Also, out of curiosity I know that the Free Polish Air Force in WWII had a Kosciuszko Squadron, the famous 303, and i cannot imagine that the communist government allowed the tradition to carry on after WWII- does anyone know if the modern Polish Air Force has re-instituted the Kosciuszko Squadron??
Thanks for your help,
Jim

Jim- I have a copy of the book Kosciuszko Squadron 1919-1921, but not the earlier book so no means of comparison. Good photo quality on very good paper, 16 pages of color profiles, 80 pages in all. $19.95 purchased from Byrd Aviation Books at Dayton last September, quite a bit cheaper than you quote:

You can reach Mushroom Model Publications at:

There is a good history in the threads here on other sources of info.

Two different books?

Hi Jim,

The book referenced by Taz is a little highly-illustrated softback book by Tomasz J. Kopanski and Zygmunt Kozak, entitled "Kosciuszko Squadron 1919-1921." It is not authored by Janusz Cisek, so I wonder if we're talking about two different books here?

At any rate, I have both the Kopanski/Kozak book and the much earlier Ross Fenn book. Even if you have "Flight of Eagles" I would highly recommend getting the new paperback. Beautifully illustrated with many "new" photos not seen in the Fenn book, plus lots of great color profiles. There's an entire chapter on "The Odyssey of Captain Cooper", about Merian C. Cooper's adventures after being captured by the Bolsheviks - his real-life adventures make King Kong's story look tame by comparison.

Jim- I can see why you want to know. Cheapest price I saw here was $64.75.

Here it is for around $45, which is list price. Looks like one which may disappear if you do not pick it up quickly.
