"Hell's Angels" photographs?

Movie memorabilia?
I suspect these two photographs to have been taken during the filming of HH's "Hell's Angels". Any comments?
Humorous captions welcome

Hi Rod F:

I don't know about the second photograph, but the first one - "temp/Nungesser_finger.jpg" - certainly does come from the filming of "Hell's Angels" and has nothing to do with Nungesser. The main figure in the photo is Roscoe Turner, who flew the Sikorsky S-29 in the background marked with the arrow through the skull insignia, which served as the "Gotha" in the movie. The caption for this photo in H. Hugh Wynne's authoritative book, "The Motion Picture Stunt Pilots" (page 80) says, "Ira Reed enjoys spoiling Roscoe Turner's picture as Turner poses in a Royal Flying Corps uniform". Ira Reed was one of the other pilots on the movie crew.

Thank you Greg for the reply. I found the answer to this little mystery right after posting. The file name for the Turner/Reed "finger" photo comes from the fact "Nungesser" is written on the back. Or so I was told by the person who submitted it to me.

The other photo I would guess is of someone who portrayed Nungesser? The a/c is a Ryan M-2, I believe. The type from which the "Spirirt of St. Louis" was modified.

Both photos belonged to commercial pilot Charles A. LaJotte; who, as it turns out, flew Sikorskys and was a personal friend (and sometimes partner) of Roscoe Turner.
