What do aerodromes look like today?

I've been wondering about this for a while. What is the present state of Roucourt, are the line of trees still there?Any before and after shots are quite welcomed on this thread!

Thanks for the thread links JFM!That was some interesting reading. All the effort into finding the exact positions of the field by using online maps and photos.Hard to believe that a field that used to be a home of Jasta 11 and roaring Albatros' is today no more than a farmland.

There is an Osprey (?) book on aerodromes of the Somme, and presumably other areas as well that is available and is quite good for showing before and after fotos. It seems to be set up so that you can use it as a tour giude to the region, with road directions et al. I believe I got mine at Borders a couple of years ago so it should be readily available. I'll check for specifics on the title and publisher tonight and get back to you tomorrow, unless someone else can correct me.
