Wingnut Wings ....again

Just wondering - The Fokker D.VII was to be released last year......
What happened?
Anyone know when it might be expected?

Hi, Lowell,

The D-VII: my Holy Grail! Yes, it was scheduled to appear last June (+-), and when it didn't it generated a spate of "Where'd it go? When does it arrive? What's going on?" postings. That's gone into limbo now, as we've come to realize that WNW will release their kits whenever they're ready, and not a micromillisecond sooner. I can sort of afford to wait, with twenty-odd years left in my modelling lifespan and sixty or so top-of-the-line kits to keep me occupied! The D-VII will appear when it will appear...we just don't know when!

From my understanding of the way Wingnuts works, the delay will be an issue with accuracy or fit or something similar. They like to release a kit after they 'get it right'. Sound practice in my view...I own three of their kits and I doubt I've seen better aircraft kits anywhere. Maybe one day I'll have the guts to try building one .
Peace.

John and Geek are right: I forgot to mention this key point. But that's why I say that they'll release the kits only when they're ready: in order to get it right the first time!

I suspect that WNW discovered that not all of the research coming from Germany was accurate.

Did you know that on some aircraft from the First World War, differences of more than 14 cm were common enough that some manufacturers were sub-contracting the wings or fuselage?
