I am preparing a "guidebook" about World War One sculptured monuments in the U.S. I need your assistance in this project which is totally financed with my funds. If you know the location of A WW I monument in your vicinity, please contact me at donbarb54.skybest.com Thanks, Donald Conrad.

Greetings Donald: After WWI most towns put up statues of soldiers to honor the fallen, and others who served. Many posts of the American Legion and the VFW put up memorial statues. Your best bet is to write the tourist bureaus of the various states for the location of their war memorials. Two off hand: the statue of Frank Luke (The Arizona Balloon Buster) in front of the state capitol in Phoenix Arizona and the statue of Father Duffy, chaplain to the Fighting 69th, located in Times Square, NYC. Best regards, Billy H/01/05/2000.

Billy H. Thanks alot for your suggestions. I have friends in NYC and Phoenix who can send me photos and data on Frank Luke and Father Duffy. I am "shotgunning" my approach to learning about the location of WWI monuments. The computer sure helps!!
Thanks again. Donald.
