Avro 531 Spyder?

Greetings, can anyone help with this one? I have exhausted the information on the web I think and canít find any decent resolution photos or scale drawings. I know there probably is not much on this one but maybe better quality somewhere? Thanks for your consideration.

from the description "the front of the fuselage is identical in all respects with
forward portion of the type504 avro but it has been shortened up aft of the cockpit . the tail unit is also of the same design as the standard training machine so that fittings already being produced in quantity can be used for the whole of this part of the machine

first flown with 11hp le rhone proposed engine br 2

Hi

'Avro Aircraft since 1908' by A J Jackson, Putnam 1990 has pages 158-161 on the Avro 531 Spider. Three view drawing on page 159, plus three images (including the one you have shown).

Thanks folks, pretty sure I have collected all the stuff you have suggested already. Am hoping to find better material like higher resolution photoís and scale drawings. The chase continues.

Grim, that is excellent. My plan is to build one at 1/3 scale. Can you do a pdf at 1/3 scale and email it to me? Thanks for your consideration.

Grim, I donít want you to print it. Just send me the PDF and Iíll get it printed. Yes, it is a couple of big pieces. A friend of mine has done this for me for a couple of models. Usually, separates the side, top, front and wings so there are six separate sheets usually 34x88Ē or bigger. You can check out my last build on the flying models forum W/S is 122Ē.
