OK, so it's a past event, but here's the three Triplanes at Dayton. Anybody got any of them flying together?

And a view over the Spandaus, of the landing area, with the two rotary-powered Tripes about to take-off--
I had the digital camera with me on this flight, and snapped some air-to-air of Fred and Ross, only to discover that I had inadvertantly touched the off button after this photo, so no air-to-airs. Chagrined is not the word...

Dawn at Barber Field, Alliance, Ohio, on the way to Dayton. Chuck Woerner, who built this airplane around 1970, heard it was there and showed up to see his old plane.

And finally, a bird's eye view of the Air Force Museum and Aerodrome. It was fantastic flying over old Wright Field, and thinking of all of the history that had taken place there, Jimmy Dolittle doing the first outside loop, and all of the testing, and so on. A great event.

Thanks for posting the pictures Andrew. The shots from the cockpit sure are unique!

I'm glad I had the opportunity introduce myself and talk with you a bit at Dayton.

Best Regards,

Sean Tavares

Hey Bald Eagle,

Would you happen to have that shot " Dr1dawn" in 1024x 768? It's a beautiful shot and would make a great Desktop.

Are you the one that was there with the N28?
