Name tags and Scott's t-shirts! Only, you better be able to recognize me without a name tag! Or I'll be really depressed.
Now, for those of us not thoroughly informed, are Rendezvous and Dawn Patrol the same thing? Or is Dawn Patrol at 6 a.m. and Rendezvous the afternoon crowd? In Dayton, OH, right?

I vote Dayton Dawn Patrol too. It is the most centrally located (for those of us who are Southerners) and should have plenty of entertainment around the entertainment we provide ourselves! I will be with the reenactors.
I would love to have the chance to meet some of you and put faces to these identities!
Cheers,
Scarlett

Unless you look just like your avatar, dear, I don't know how we would. I mean, I think I could tell you apart from Peter, but beyond that . . . . .
And yes - Dayton, Ohio. Not exactly a thriving metropolis (but then again, after living in New York nothing is), however it's a great museum, all the amenities close by, lovely weather at the end of September, right in the middle of the good ol' U.S. of A. It's a no-brainer, if you ask me.

You have my vote
Eric, good going.
I like the idea of the Dawn Patrol Rendezvous. My plans are already being made for 2005. When can I order my Tee-shirt?
Salute!

If you are wearing a leather helmet and goggles, I will recognize you.
Salute!

Hi Lyle,
Thanks ! And yes it is indeed great to be back !
Well the idea is not bad at all. I have been considering to put some Euro's aside to go to Dawn Patrol 2005 and finally meet some of the members I've learnt to know in the few past years overhere.
It would be great of course to know who will be there. We should ask around perhaps ? There's a number of people I've been e-mailing with since quite some time, that I would like to bump into and meet in person, shake hands and have a beer with, before starting talking about unbelievable WW I aviation stories.
Reenactors hey ? Damn those uniforms of the Kaiserliche Marine I have are much to small for me, otherwise I think I'd be recognised directly ! Of course I still could wear a Marinemutse
You can count me in, if I'm not deadly sick or dead.
Best from Johan

Colour me grounded.
Maybe it might be feasible to arrange a Toronto event. Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, or maybe the Pilot Tavern. AT least JonathanS and I could make it. Maybe Michael Skeet (who as I recall has been doing some CBC work).
All you Canucks, what about it?

I'll wear 'em. Guess Eric doesn't know about clicking on people's names yet.

Sounds good !!! The Tee Shirt idea is great, even if you don't attend. And it would make money for the Forum. But then I still have 6 of the "old" Tee shirts. Sept is a great month, unless you have kids.

Well, I am a little slow sometimes, but like Taz said . . . . .
Will you be the ONLY one in goggles and leather helmet?

Oh come on Eric ! Won't you recognise such a big smile like hers ?
Dayton, Ohio, never thought my first trip to the States would end up at that place ! I have family at Fort Worth, so expected it to be that...
Best from Johan
