Billy Bishop play

Well, the premiere came and went last night and I was rather surprised. I had honestly expected to be bored and/or annoyed. I was neither, and I don't like musicals. Love Bishop and you'll mysteriously like this play. Hate Bishop and you'll mysteriously like this play. Just two guys- an actor playing all the parts and a piano player and a bit of a dim simple set, and it was mesmerizing. Parts were hilarious in an almost Pythonesque way
And yeah, my art display seemed to attract a goodly number of the crowd before showtime, during intermission and afterward. I sorta had trouble looking at my own stuff.
Anyway, if anyone's going to be in the Southern California area in the next month or so, check it out at the Colony Theatre in Burbank. It runs from now 'till July 16.see:

This sounds like the same play I saw about 25 years (!) ago starring Eric Peterson. I was also VERY skeptical about it but actually quite enjoyed it. Peterson did a good job and it was worth seeing.

Yep- that's the one. I guess Peterson was also a writing collaborator.
Yeah- the couple of hours flew by without me looking at my watch once!
This production stars a guy named Larry Cedar, who I guess is most well known for playing "Leon" the opium addicted card dealer on the HBO show "Deadwood". I don't have HBO so I don't know!
