Shuttleworth Spring Air Show 5 May 2007

I am thinking of going to this event for the first time (indeed the museum for the first time) and would be grateful for any advice from old hands. How do the size of the crowds compare with a Duxford show, and is one likely to get turned away unless one arrives at 0900 hrs?

Many thanks for any help.

Best wishes,
David

David, crowds aren't usually a problem, neither is congestion apart from when the weather's extraordinarily good and there's a special line-up (Such as the FAA formation & Seafire debut last year).

I'd recommend getting there as early as possible for the simple reason that there's a great deal to see around the hangars before the show starts. There's also the flightline walk, which can get booked up, so it makes sense to get booked in on this and have a wander up and down the flightline for some unrivaled access to these wonderful machines.

Here are a few photos from the other week to serve as a taster for the season ahead:

Rob,
Didn't make it to the 6 May airshow but did get there yesterday. Had a great time. Wonderful air show and we got there about 3pm so had a good look round the hangars. But still much to see and must go again.

Saw your high-vis waistcoat - was that you inside it?

Thanks again for your advice.
David
