List of Grass Strips in USA

Hello All,

I am not sure where to put this list, but since "Upcoming Events" might include the possibility that people will want to fly their pioneer and vintage aircraft to the venues, and desire to use grass strips along the way, I thought it OK to park this here.

This is a handy list (PDF) of airports that have both grass runways and fuel service, compiled by VAA member Kris Kortokrax. In your flight planning, you should contact the airports/grass strip facilities ahead of time for current hours of operation, updated landing/take-off procedures, fuel availability, etc. etc.

All the Best,

Jim

Nice

Jim -

Thanks for that. Germansville (P91 - Flying M) does not have fuel, though I believe they did at one time which would account for the entry in Airnav. I'm based there. It would be great if they did have it though.....

Martha & Mike- thanks for responding to this- I am sure there are more grass strips we could include- I don't see "mine" (N41 in Waterbury, CT) so I am sure this list is fairly dynamic!
