2009 Reel Stuff Film Fest

Its kind-of a cool idea, but I really don't understand this event. Why would I spend $10 per showing when I can select my own DVD copy, open a beer and watch the movie on my big plasma screen TV at home? (And I have way more movie titles than they have)
(PS, I never want to go downtown anymore either, too many bums walking around, but thanks for posting anyway)

To answer from my own situation:

I sit down with my own DVD copy, open a beer start the movie on my big plasma screen TV, turn to my wife and say "Isn't this great?" and she frowns...

I think the point is to enjoy them in a community of like-minded people.
