It's shaping up to be a good seminar. Hope to see many of you there.

I didn't want to hear that as I will be unable to attend due to lack of funds. I live in San Antonio and that makes it worse. I will be looking forward to hearing all about it though.

There's still time to register for OTF seminar Oct 15-17

If you have registered for the Over the Front Seminar, you will be receiving further information via email or regular mail in the next few days.

There's still time to register. See our website, or find a form earlier in this thread.

Dear jsontag,

Isn't there ANY way you can scrape up the registration fee? It seems criminal that you won't be able to attend even though you live right there in San Antonio! The rest of us are having to foot the travel and hotel expenses...at least you're spared that.

Hope you can drop by.

Greg

Just a tease: The speakers will include:

-Javier Arrango, who operates a squadron-sized collection of WWI replica aircraft, will
present “Fighter Aircraft Design in WWI”, an insight into the minds of WWI aircraft
designers, based on actual cockpit experience.
- Steve Suddaby will speak on“Unfulfilled Nightmares of WWI Aerial Bombing”, a review
of some wild bombing schemes that never saw the light of day, like killing the Kaiser
from the air and bombing New York with Zeppelins.
- Jim Wilberg will discuss Jean Navarre’s role as a prototypical fighter ace - daring,
flamboyant, and contemptuous of authority - in “The Sentinel of Verdun”.

- Ted Huscher will talk about Austro-Hungarian ace Julius Arigi.

- Stephen Skinner will give a presentation about his research for and discoveries about The Stand.

- Lance Bronnenkant will present some rare film footage of MvR and company, as well as Fokker Triplanes, D.VIIs, D.VI and one E.V. If we play our cards right, JFM (Jim Miller) will chime in with comments about MvR, and some idiot will also present a few other tidbits relating to the film footage.

Here's your chance to rub elbows (and bend elbows) with such Forum greats as Russell Smith, Mike O'Neal, Colin Owers (all the way from Oz), Jastaflieger, and many others....

Mates,
Hotel booked, sent e-mail off to regester with OTF, hope they get it (any phone # would be of great assistance to confirm they received my email)
Booking plane tickets - just waiting for a reply from them for confirmation.

Greg - will bring along little MvR book we talked about awhile back.

Mate,
It is odd now that I think of it, but what the heck, I'll get to meet some folks that I only know via email or telephone.
