The AF Museum is going to
great lengths to present a special event on 14 May. They are going to open up some of the aircraft to inspect (B24, SR71 & more) and to make aviation history come alive with reenactors and the public can interact with them.
The event coincides with the spring release of the
Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian movie. They are doing a similar theme, as is depicted in the movie (After the museum closed for the night, people come alive in the museum and tell their story in history......OK? Did you get that?)
Anyway, there will be some GWAA members/pilots dressed in WWI garb, to help reenact the WWI era (also GWA military reenactors in their garb too).
