26 Sep 09 - Seattle - AMERICAN HISTORY DAY

Folks - just wanted to post a note about this event here. IF ANYONE WANTS TO DO A WWI talk, have a table (artist or historian), please let me know. We can help to make that happen.
Here are the details:

AMERICAN HISTORY DAY
September 26, 2009, at Pioneer Hall
1644 43rd Avenue East, Seattle, WA
9 am – 6 pm

In keeping with the Alaska Yukon Pacific Expo (AYPE) Centennial celebrations this year, several patriotic organizations who took part in the original AYPE event are developing an American History Day event. A-Y-P Exposition Community - Overview

The event will include Civil War and Revolutionary War reenactors, fashion, lectures, historical demonstrations and information provided by historical and heritage groups. This event is open to the public with a donation so all can learn more about our country’s interesting history.

Now what is funny is that mentally I moved this event up one week...so the family was going to attend a college soccer game that "new date" - well now we all are going to the soccer game...

And then to my oldest's game an hour away from Seattle...but that still is many hours away from home.

Only for me to do the same trip the following Saturday...OOPS!!!!
