Hi Lee,

Great to hear from you!

Our weather was pretty good for most of the event. Mostly sunny, with just enough clouds to make for neat photos.

Temps at dawn made a light jacket feel comfortable, but warmed to the upper 70s-lower 80s range as the days progressed.

Winds were light Saturday, and also for the first part of Sunday morning. Wind direction was (very) variable Saturday, and often ran crossways to the main runway. But as a friend pointed out, "there's no such thing as a crosswind at an airfield", so any plane small enough to be effected adversely was still able to takeoff and land into the wind simply by going crossways on the south end of the field. But anything much bigger than 1/6 scale wasn't really bothered.
The wind picked up a little about the time we finished doing the flightline pics on Sunday, but nothing like we had in 2007. We flew until about noon, then called it a day and handed out the door prizes.

We have been really pleased with the weather for the last two years since switching to a September date.

I sure hope you can make it next year, Lee. I think you'll enjoy it.

Best regards,
Dean in Omaha
