Oshkosh 2009

I'm planning on being there Wed - Saturday. Would enjoy meeting other forumites. Once I get on the ground I'll post a note in the Replica Fighter's bldg and at Baslee's Replica display with a recommended link up place and time.

Rob

Do they usually have a decent number or WWI planes there? Or does it flucuate from year to year? Never been there even though I live on a couple of hours away! I don't particularly care for large crowds, but if there are some decent planes there I guess I could make an exception!

My Gallery
rob,
sending my friend, lloyd, a link to this thread and to your website. he's oshkosh-bound tomorrow morning in his motorhome from ohio. hope you guys can meet up.

i highly recommend
1) pioneer airport by the museum bldg,
2) the vintage and classic aeroplane campsite section of the field,
3) and take the free bus ride out to one of my very favorite spots on earth, the oshkosh seaplane base. there you'll see more yellow cubs on floats in a beautiful bucolic setting. just hope they are not fogging the evening air there with deisel fumes to keep the mosquitos down, while you're there.

4) theatre in the woods has some great stuff, too.
