A couple of photos of us leaving Creve Coeur Airport near St. Louis, taken by Don Parsons from his Fairchild 24. We took off at 7:25 AM, it was cold, but smooth.

The Missouri River was covered with fog, and when we got to our first stop at Boonville, MO the airport was covered except for 500 feet at the North end, so we landed carefully into the fog. It was a spectacular sight to see the Triplane disappear as it landed, then to follow it down. You could actually see pretty far down the runway right at the surface, but there was no going around.

Hi You All,

Those planes are really beautiful. The D-VII is my favorite and I fly those same colors when I fly in the Red Baron3D computer game. I hope you all bring those planes back to Dayton in 2011. I was unable to make Dayton this year due to illness and the Dr. not wanting me to make the long drive from FL. alone especially because of GA having road damage/closings due to flooding in Atlanta.
