Biplanes and Zeppelins 2010
Things are moving along nicely. Mr. Yagen is going all out to put on this event.

Fokker D.VII
Another aircraft that you will see at Biplanes and Zeppelins 2010 is this Fokker D.VII replica.
 It is arriving in Virginia Beach today From Switzerland. I'm sure some of you will recognize it as the one owned by the late Mark Hanna of the Old Flying Machine Company at Duxford. More information and pictures in the Replica Plane thread. Rob Last edited by RobW; 20 August 2010 at 02:13 PM. |

Nieuport 11 Nieuport 27 2 Fokker D.VII 3 Fokker Dr.I Avro 504K Halberstadt Spad XIII Albatros D.Va SE5a Sopwith Pup Bleriot Nieuport 23 - Rick Bennett Nieuport 17 - Robert Garcia SE5a - Roland Gillam Spad XIII - John Clifford If you bring and fly your replica, Mr. Yagen will provide fuel and a room at the very nice Cavalier Hotel... registration form attached |

Another aircraft participating is the Fighter Factory's AVRO 504.

Museum
I went for the first time this last weekend to check out the planes at the Military Aviation Museum and was totally blown away by the collection. There is the Avro on display along with an undersized (but flyable) SPAD XIII, 2 Fokker DR I, 1 Fokker DR VII, as well as a Sopwith Pup (1/3) scale hanging upside down in the lobby.
The weekend of the Biplanes show should be a great experience for anyone lucky enought to attend. |
