Wonderful Site! My grandfather, Karl Hackstetter was the "Leiter" of the Rumpler Military Fliegerschule in Muncheberg am Mark. I wondered if it would be possible to see a notation as to which Fliegerschule each German Ace went to? Thanks. Kindest regards, Rene Hackstetter

GREAT SITE! Just wish I could find out why M. v Richthofen was never awarded the Cross of the House of Hollenzaren (sorry about the spelling) -

Our elder daughter wants to design a family seal that incorporates the Iron Cross. Could you please e-mail a basic pattern for her use?

As you can tell by the surname, design runs in the family!

I am wondering why my father's name isn't on the list of those awarded the Croix de Guerre with Palm Leaf. He served with the Seaforth Highlanders. His name was John D.M. Newlands of Scotland.

Thanks for all of the effort. I surely appreciate the statistics and sidebar stories - it helps to give life to these long-gone folks.
