I am a former resident of Fort Mill, SC and as a child I recognized the impact that Springs cotton mill had on my family. I am interested in all facts about Elliot Springs and his family.

Very exciting to see my Grandfather on the list of flying aces - the record doesnt show that he lived till he was 96 and died in 1992. he become an aire marshall and took the surrender from the luftwafer (cant spell!) Very excitng indeed.

Just wanted to say thank you for all you have done to make this country what it is. My husband paid the ultimate sacrifice last year in a helo and I am so thankful for the sacrifices he and you all made for us. God bless you.

My mothers maiden name is Pomilio. There are family stories that say the builder of the plane is related to our family

My great great grandfather was Christoph Grassmann who left Hannover in about 1850. He,his wife (Sophia Meyer), and three children settled in Minnesota in the 1850's. Would this Grassmann be in your family line? Thank you for providing a response. EMeyer

This page is the best WWI site I've seen. I can spend hours reading about the pilots and the planes they flew.
