I am a FLAMING WWI fanatic! For many years I have played flight sims, gone to conventions in Oshkosh and Dayton, and many gaming conventions. My favorite games are minis, the best of the LOT being Hostile Aircraft, where the mounting of the models and design of the stand/clip system truely gives meaning and usefulnes to the 3-D models as well as the 3-d "snapshot" format of the gaming table. I have designed Wargames rules Sci-fi/fantasy rules and my latest: a WWII minis game using these excellent stands and simplified movement rules to the delight of many of the local gamers in the Milwaukee-Chicago area. I also fly ultralights and have sponsored a WWI fly-in for nearly 20 years in the SE Wisconsin area: The Frank Luke Memorial fly-in. We play real games with REAL aircraft. Even had a Fokker Eindecker Ultralight in the competition in 1988. So if you want to talk WWI aviation. just E-Mail me.

My late great uncle, Richard 'Dick' Pennock was with the 94th Aero and worked with Rickenbacker after the Great War. We still have his leather flying 'cap'. Is there a way to learn more? Do rosters still exist? Thanks. Kit

Alex Lowthian Hillman

My grandfather, Leslie Lowthian was a Colonel (I believe judging by his uniform in the photo I have) in the RFC. How would I find out information. In the picture that I have of his entire group, squad, whatever it was called, only two of the sixty some odd people in the picture, survived. Your response is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Alex L. Hillman

Hugely interesting site. I was intrigued to see a Compston and wondered if we could be related.

Why isn't Eugene Jacques Bullard listed under American aces? Other sources list him as a 5 kill ace.
