Congratulation on an excellent site. A mine of information for the WW1 Aviation enthusiast and very atmospherically presented. A great guestbook. Some a little eccentric, but many entries fascinating e.g. contributions by descendents of the famous names of that time. Nungesser, May,Halberstadt and so on. Best Wishes and Well Done !

You might be interested to know that Hamilton Coolidge - http://www.theaerodrome.com/aces/usa/coolidge.html - was a great-great-grandson of Thomas Jefferson. His father was the financier and one-time minister to France, Thomas Jefferson Coolidge. Ham Coolidge was a very close friend of Quentin Roosevelt, who was shot down on 14 July 1918. For details about Ham and Quentin, check my book THE LION'S PRIDE: THEODORE ROOSEVELT & HIS FAMILY IN PEACE AND WAR (Oxford Univ. Press, 1998), which can be found in many libraries.
