Great site, but can?t get logged onto the forum! Can anyone help - I am trying to trace army personnel seconded to the RFC - my grandfather was a machine gunner with the Motor Machine Gun Corps - but he served for a short time as a gunner/observer with an RE8 squadron on the Western Front - probably in 1916. I presume this was due to a shortage of air crew due to heavy losses. I do not have his service record or MGC records (destroyed in WW2).Would it be possible to trace by squadron log books, or flight logs? Are these in existance at Kew? Any leads or information would be most welcome.

Can anyoine help identify a print I recently obtained called "Les Cigognes"? The print features six French pilots in blue, tan and orange uniforms. The pilots are following a stork. The print has a brownish/orange background. Any information about the artist or the names of the pilots are appreciated. Thanx!

Why do you have so little info on Wolfram von Richthofen, especially his role in WWII? Kurt Student's WWII activity is mentioned, but is not as signficant, in my view.
