Andrew Garnett in 2002 said that he is a related to Geoffrey Hemming. My mother-in-law Dorothy Woods married Geoffrey Hemming who was killed in 1926. Her son Desmond Wettern was Naval Correspondent of the Daily Telegraph.

I had a great grandfather named John Albert Daley whose family emigrated from Yorkshire. I don't know much about him or them, but wonder if he was related to the John Daley on your Aces roster.

My Father, Capt Harold Wilder served as Commandant of Training at Issoudon, under Maj Spaatz and alogside Eddie Rickenbacker, whom I knew as Uncle Rick.
Later I served as B-24 pilot under Spaatz in the 15th AAF. Major Spaats Maj H. Arnold and Uncle Rick were frequent visitors at our dinner table while I was just a boy.

I'm conducting a research concerning José Luis Sánchez Besa, the first chilean aviator who designed & built aircraft in France since 1910 some of them known Bathiat Sanchez and during WWI He also managed a flight school in Betheny.

A cousin of mine, Huston Woodward flew and fought with Spa 94 and was shot down near Montdidier. I was curious about him and thanks to the members of this site, now know he flew a Spad and had a kill. I also found out who shot him down and even the time!
His family visited the site in 1920 and erected a monument to him. My wife and I plan on visiting it next summer.
