I have been an engine builder for 50 years. About 16 years or so ago a gentleman by the name of Glen Courtwright (passed on, 93) from Oaklawn Illinois had me modify and rebuild eight 200 H.P. Ranger Engines to be installed in Bristols. The aircraft where used in a movie. The 8 aircraft where built in Michigan, U.S. I redesigned the oiling system so the engine could be rotated for prop position in the Bristol. Some of them I'm told are in England....Flying. A really nice engine, just wondered.

Very usefull site, very interesting subject. Ooh To have a time machine and a translator...

I have made models of 33 w.w.1 airplanes and bios of their pilots but I seem to have hit a brick wall finding out what happened to Agust Rabin after WWI, anyone who knows I would be most endepted if you could enlighten me.

Thanks

Daniel

Dear Sir or Madam, I am trying to trace my wife's family history, her Grandfather ( I have a sepia photo of him in some kind of uniform carrying a huge camera ) was an Aerial Photographer during World War 1, trouble is I am not 100% sure of his actual name, we think that it was Henry John Lawrence, but it could have been John Henry Lawrence, we know he like to be called HAL, we dont know if he was a civilian working with the Royal Flying Corps, or actually in the R.F.C, can you help me in anyway
