I am pleased to hold the papers of my Great Uncle Lt. Arnold R. Crisp who was posted to 18 Squadron at Albert in September 1916. In fact I wonder if he may be the same unlucky fellow you mention in your FE2B description, as he ran out of petrol and came down behind enemy lines at the beginning of October 1916 while on a night sortie. I have his log book, in September 1916 he flew FE2Bs 4862, 6346, 4862 and 4856. Various observers were Royffe, Doughty, Head, Jackson, Taylor.

Paul B. Duncan, my Grandfather, served in WWI, first in the 25th Balloon Co. and then in Company B 110th Field Artillery. After returning from the war he was a member of the North Platte (Neb.) Aircraft Co. as a stuntman-parachutist. They performed in the Midwest, Canada and Mexico. Anyone with information on the barnstormers of the early '20's please contact me. I have a picture of the airplane.

Bruno FantonTreviso - Italy

Best site ever seen about Aeronautics of WW I.
I beg your pardon but, living in the Provence of Treviso, I know that, I. E. for italian pilot Lega, the exact location for a couple of scores is not Moreno di Piave but Mareno di Piave (even in Treviso Provence), a little country village on the left side of the omonimous river.
Best Regards
Bruno Fanton
(I apologise for my low level english)

Alas, this is my second plea regarding some information regarding the early life of Weston Birch Hall. Does anyone read these requests, remarks, etc., or do they simply go on the air and fly away like the WW! airplanes!
