Thouroughly enjoyed your site, My Grandfather was a WW1 vet he once told me a cool story how in the early part of 1917 his trench got strafed at dawn by Von Richtofens unit on a number of occasions, and before he flew off he would fly low and salute them. Suffice to say he never had much love for him,
keep up the good work.

My family is related to Reed. I am looking for his mother's name. My cousin and aunt, visited her some years ago, in El Paso, Texas. Nice web site. There was a cartoon of him, years ago, tellin some of his accomplishments. If I can find it, I'll send it to you.

I cannot find a medal like the one I have on this site or any other. I have had this medal since I was 8 yrs. old, so about 13 yrs. I found it in a basket of buttons that I got at a yard sale. It says, The Great War For Civilization. Has a # of countries on it and on the other side an angel with full war gear on. the angel has a sword, a shield and a breast shield. Please help me find out info. You can email me, kiki_ugabuga@yahoo.com for more info.

Armagh worked at the aerodrome in Kidderminster as a Clerk - up until around 1947.Would any one have any information with regards employees or know where to look for this information.

Bruno FantonTreviso - Italy

Wonderful site indeed! My name is Bruno Fanton and I live in Treviso,
hi-density WWI zone (Piave river crossing most of the district).
Regarding italian Ace Carlo Francesco "Francis" Lombardi
Medar Military Valor, 3 Silver Carlo Lombardi perhaps the exact place for the last shot-down - reported as Pezzon di Melma is
"Pezzan di Melma", now comprised in Silea town, two miles south-west of Treviso.
Best regards
Bruno

Byron DerringerWashington, D.C.

My Great Grandfather was James Ely Miller, first pilot shot down in WWI, and I am looking for a complete account of his flying record, as well as, the "Hall of fame of the Air" detailing his journey.

Please contact me if you have information.
