Very interesting site. My uncle was an aviator in both wars, and had the unique distinction of scoring confirmed victories in both conflicts.

Greetings from the home of the (controversial) great William Avery Bishop!

This is a great site, as an aviation enthusiast (for the reason why, see above) I am quite glad a site like this exists.

I look forward to all the additions yet to come.

Awesome site! Very informative, great for projects. However, William (Billy) Bishop was Canadian born, if my memory serves me correctly.

Keep up the good work!

I really enjoyed this site. It showed me all of the sacrifices that the men in the war made. I really enjoy to learn about history and what things were like for some men. Even though there were some men who got more medals and honors like i have learned, they still put thier lives in danger, and i think that is the most greatest sacrifice of all!

Wonderful website, there is so little information on the RFC, it is good to see these veterans remembered.

Am trying to find anything about my father James Baird - March 1917 private in
R.A.S.C., Gazetted 2nd. Lieut. and posted to R.F.C. Nov 1917. Believe he had
flying training in Canada.

This site is pretty informative when looking for specific aces or people. But it does not have anything about the life of a fighter pilot. But overall, this is definately one of the better WW1 sites I've been too. Also, Canada did so much for WW1 and we had just as good a military as the United States, England and Germany did.

In our community there are three war graves from men who died on the 28/07/1917. Apparently these men served in the 57th en 51st Sqdn. I can not find these squadrons. Can anyone tell me the reason or can anyone tell me where I can find more data about these squadrons?
