Further to our emails about new ace Lt.J.B.Russell,DFC, I found his enlistment documents. He was born in Pictou,Nova Scotia; his next of kin was his mother in Ottawa. He was definately Canadian, not British.

I searched under the rubrik "Recipients-World War/Aces under medals Max N?ther.My uncle has got the Iron Cross II classe (beim Kampf um die Festung Wilna)-- and in 1.2.1916 the Iron Cross I classe (Kampf bei Smorgon).In 1918 he got the "Hohenzollern Hausorden mit Krone und Schwertern. Later he still got the "Pour le Merite".Please write it in the "Medals". Thanks
