I am looking for any information about my Grandfather, George Glandfield Roe. He told me he was a rear gunner in a Bristol Fighter during the Great War.

If anyone has any information I would be very grateful to receive it. Thanks

I stumbled on this site by accident and was awestruck by the detail and effort that must have went into this. The history of all participants was great. I've spent a couple of hours on the site and will likely spend more.

My father was Percy Olieff. (Please note there is no apostrophe in the name Olieff.)
I always thought he made those WW1 stories up!

Something that always bothered me: If Anthony Fokker finally got the 160 h.p. Mercedes for the DVII and it proved itself so well, why couldn't he get it for the DVIII?
