Wayne Ralph

Attention: Don Evans, Canadian Aviation Historical Society, Toronto

From: Wayne Ralph, CAHS member, Vancouver, author, BARKER VC

Dear Don,

I noticed on the CAHS Web site under CAHS VANCOUVER CHAPTER NEWS that you have a press release for the History TV documentary in March 2003 about William Barker, the man whose biography I wrote.

A front page news story on November 11th 2003 in the Globe and Mail featured "Lest we forget Will Barker", a Roy MacGregor, Our Canada column, and on November 19th The Canadian Press put out a 1,200 word essay about William Barker and the opportunities for a movie or TV special.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could do me the service of including the two articles as noted below on the CAHS site, as many of our members do not subscribe to The Canadian Press or the Globe and Mail.

Any help you could provide is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Wayne Ralph, author, BARKER VC - The Classic Story of a Legendary First World War Hero (Grub Street, London - ISBN 1-902304-31-4), distributed in Canada by Vanwell Publishing in St. Catharines, Ontario. Winner of the 1998 McWilliams Medal of the Manitoba Historical Society. Two TV documentaries have been done, Discovery Channel on Flightpath, 1999, and History Television in 2003.

PS - Has CAHS thought of including a bio on the CAHS members who have written history books and memoirs - there are quite a few.

Does anyone no of someone or something about the 43rd Aero Squadron that was in France. I have a photo album with about 100 pictures. There is a 1/4 model Sopwith Pup in the photos that has us trying to figure it out?
