Distinguished Flying Medal (DFM)
During the Great War, the Distinguished Flying Medal (DFM) was "awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers and Men for acts of gallantry when flying in active operations against the enemy." Supplement to the London Gazette, 3 June 1918

For services during the Great War, the London Gazette announced the award of the Distinguished Flying Medal (DFM) to members of the flying services 110 times:
