No.....done about 4 years ago...I really love the Austro Hungarian aircraft...even tho many of them were dogs...The backgrounds of this theater of operations offer some great possibilities over the Western front too!

As a fellow Austro nut,I love this painting. The Austrians are a neglected subject.
Great Job.

James,

This is the first time I have ever seen this painting. I may have to invest in a print of this. Great work!

Man,if this is what the landscape looked like for the Austrians, then I would have loved to flown with them. The landscape in this painting is so scenic that your eyes are fixed on the beautiful land than the Hansa-Brandenburg's!

I believe I saw this one at the 2003 "DAWN PATROL" at Wright Patterson, they had an exhibition of Dietz paintings. I wanted to get an autograph on Saturday ,but my brother locked our rental car up and we were busy trying to get it unlocked while Mr.Dietz was signing autographs and I missed it. Anyway there were so many fabulous paintings of his on display I felt fortunate just to be there and see them in person. James your work is without equal in my book.
Yours Respectfully,
Werner VonTobler
