Any of the top names in the aviation art biz would be proud to call this one their own. Easy to see how it won a top award at the 2007 ASAA show.
Great compostion, really strong figures, fantastic atmospheric haze. I may have to own a print of it.

Got the giclee as a Christmas present from my wife. She bought it from Russill at the Dayton show last year, while I was picking up a copy of "Mark of Distinction" used in the "Aces Over Wright Field" group auction. I STILL am amazed by this awesome woman. But That goes away from the point.
This is probably the finest aviation piece Russell has done. That is hard to say, with so many marvellous works to his name. The detail is so delicate, the first comment people in the office had was "look at their faces!" the quality of an inanimate object pales before the human, and the humans were exquisite. Thank you Russ!
