Hauptmann Martin Zander-Jasta 1, Jastaschule I

I've always been interested in knowing more about Herr Martin Zander. After being posted to Jastaschule Valenciennes in December 1916 and then suddenly falling ill, what became of him. I seem to recall a photo of him there when Erwin Böhme was there in the Spring of 1917. Zander justs seems to have disappeared.

Anyone know more of his story?

As far as I know, he reported sick on 17Nov16 and that was the end of his flying career. R.

So that means the man was 2 years out of action (?), survived the war, only to die in peace in a crash as Civil aviator in 1925?
