I see that Gerhard Fieseler was awarded the Iron Cross and Gold Military Merit Cross along with other decorations. What were his other decorations? One looks as if it may be a Baden order, but I'm in the dark about the others.

The only reference I could find was 'all four classes of the Bulgarian Soldier's Cross for Bravery'. My comment in your Dinkel/Freytag message stands. If you are interested in German medals and the men who won them, buy the $#&(*)&%# books!!!! Rick

Fieseler is a vastly unappreciated figure in aviation generally, not just WW I. He is of course best known for the Storch but his firm also built most of the V-1 airframes.

Thanks for the sites they are very much appreciated. I saw a Storch once and remember two things about it. It was noisy and slow, but it must have beena very useful co-operation mahine.
