I wondered always about the high numbers of starts/flights for German civil and military flying teacher before and in WWI. Later I realised the most of these flights included only start, one or two circles over the place and landing. Despite that explanation the number of daily flights is in some cases amazing. In pre-war times one teacher managed to make 83 and two others are known to have made 100+ flights per day!
:o
Are comparable numbers also known for pilots of other nations?

Well, I dunno about the numbers... but it makes sense. Landing IS the hard part to learn.

Sadly, I placed the questions in the wrong section but I am still wondering that nobody on the "Allied side" is having any idea about the amount of daily starts of teachings. *:(
Possibly the Britons were more focused on flight hours. *???
