It pleases me that the Webmaster rid us of a spate of tasteless and obscene postings by one individual.

Thank you Scot. While we all sometimes run amok, I like it that most of us show a bit more class than that "person."

Carry on!

Scot: If you would work your magic at the Joe Gertler and Ginger and Missy threads it would be fantastic.

Scott;
Thank you very much! That was not the way to start a Monday morning. Again, thanks for a great site.

Because of the repulsiveness of those posts, I feel it necessary to make certain that everyone is aware that: To all concerned; I have NOTHING to do with ANY of those bizarre posts. I am appalled that one of the several items he (or she) attached this stuff to, is one that includes my name. Please have absolute certainty, I am in NO way connected to those posts! Isn't there some sort of Internet tracking/locating system where the name of the individual responsible can be revealed and appropriate steps taken?

Assuming that the webmaster has the originating IP address in the sender's "contribution", he can do a traceroute and find the server used to send it. Usually a phone call or e-mail to that webmaster gets results. I once used that to track down an idiot who filled a forum with obscene rants. E-mail to the sys admin at that server (U. of Chicago)got the perpetrator banned from the computer lab.

Scott; I'm glad you were able to clear out those obnoxious posts! Joe Gertler; are you the gentleman who left me infrmation on the old log books?

Hi Tony; Glad to find you again. I just sent you the log book info. Some problems with my email address in past week.

Mr. Gertler,

I'm sorry this happened in my thread to you, but this individual stained a lot of other posts on this forum. I was merely curious about where you had gone after the Ryder Museum.

Apparently, my thread was deleted instead of the offensive post.

These sickos are everywhere. First it was
the telephone, then since the phone tracers scared them away, they latched on to the CB craze, when that faded away they have again found another way to spew
their filth,---- the internet.

Me too Al. In view of Joe's post though I'm a little concerned that I might have been a victim. I've been off line for about a week or more (complete re-format, both hard drives :( )and I know others were similarly victimised some time ago.
