A&E has been rerunning "The Lost Battalion" with Rick Schroeder. Am not sure when it'll repeat but it's worth watching again--even with the French SE-5! ;)

I enjoyed this movie. In fact, I have asked for the DVD for Christmas. Excellent cinematography, IMO, and good character development...although I still would have like to seen more (but, alas, its less than 2 hours). And they altered fewer facts than most films do.

Hi guys,
I videotaped it when it was on the first time, and I've watched it a couple of times since then. I may still get the DVD, though -- no commericals.

P.S. Barrett, what happened to your username?

In fact, right now the DVD is on sale for $2 less than the VHS! :)
PS. Hope the link works. I'm still trying to get the hang of this newfangeled format!

Hey Drew:
the new format caused various problems for me; no joy after 3-4 attempts to I contacted Scott for help. He got things straightened out but in the process I overlooked the name change. Ain't worth changin' as of now: am just glad to be back in Forumland with The Ususal Suspects.

Like most, I was hesitant when this show came on because of Rick Schroeder. However, he did one heckuva job!
I thought it was exceptionally well done given all the constraints of TV movies.

A&E's web site had a great discussion board related to the movie when it first came out.
There were a lot of responses of the "my granddaddy was there and he said..." type. Very interesting reading. Somewhere on this board is a good discussion or two of the real story of the DH-4s that were involved in the search and air-drop resuply missions.
