Does anyone know or can find information stating when the first order was given for RNAS aircraft to use red & white cockades on the wings for national markings? I am assuming that the AVRO 504's used in the Nov. 1914 raids were unmarked, but am not sure, since many early 1915 photos have these cockades . Was there an official order telling the men to paint these markings on, and if so, what was the date that it started?
Thanks,
Dave
