With my Caproni now finished and waiting for better weather, Ive decided on my next project.. something a bit different for me as I want a model I can fly off both land and water .. and what better than one of the first true amphibians....the Sopwith Batboat. I found a small 3 view on the net and have started constructing the model. There are not that many pictures of the real aircraft available on the net.. so if you wonder what one looks like, you can see a model of one about half way down this page

I have also brazed up the engine mount that will support the OS 70 fourstroke engine between the wings. This is another first for me in that Ive never designed a pusher type model before but research indicates the fly much like a tractor driven model and aerodynamically are similar in design
