Hi,
By now most have heard that Williams Brothers is no longer in business. Are any WWI plastic kit manufacturers going to take up the slack to produce 1/6, 1/4 and 1/3 scale Vickers, Lewis and Spandau machine guns for R/C Modelers?
1/5 scale might be nice too while you are at it.

Williams Bros sold most of these kits for many years, so there seems to be a market for them. They also produced LeRhone engine kits in 1/6 scale and Gnome Cylinders (I think) in 1/4 scale. It would be nice to see some new nicely detailed scale kits available of accessories for WWI R/C models.

I am glad I bought the Douglas World Cruiser model a few years back. Now if I just could get around to building it is another question!

Ouch I am feeling major pain at this news. I guess I should consider myself lucky that at one time or another I have built 98% percent of their 1/72-ish scale offerings. That Douglas World Cruiser is a real honey of a kit. I built it a couple of years ago and would be happy to post a pic or two if anyone wants to see the results. Right now I have plans to bash a T2D from one of my DWC kits and I will probably get a little emotional as I detach the parts from the sprue and clean them up. Fortunately, I have two of their Boeing 247 kits to console me.
