I would like to know what any of you might know concerning FA(A) 298b. The unit took part in the Battle of Seicheprey on 20 April 1918. The unit was assigned to provide artillery observation, as well as ground strafing attacks during the battle.

I would be interested in finding out any roster information, aircraft types that the unit had on hand at the time, squadron leadership, etc. There is a photo taken at 6:50am of the town taken by a FA(A) 298b crew. There are two smoke plumes rising up and it is taken during the battle for the town. According to the translation of the German Battle Plan, FA(A) 298b was to provide aerial cover throughout the day. Jasta 64 was assigned to provide fighter cover if necessary. Please, provide any additional information if you know of any. I will provide the translation of the Battle Plan when I get home. Thought I had it here, but...

The US aviation units were absent due to bad weather conditions... but, the Germans were up and active over the battle area.

Thanks!
