I was watching ebay the last few days at US Air Service Haltom of Fort Worth made pilot wings and they ended up selling for $5,005.00 today. Is that a new record for a pair of American wings unattributed to a pilot?

Do you have a link to this ?

I've see Tiffany wings unattributed go for over 7K on private auction sites, but the highest I have seen Dallas wings for is just over 2K.

Post the link if you have it, I'd be interested to see what type of wing badge we are talking about ....

Yank -

I looked at the wing - beautiful badge. I'm certainly no expert, but I don't think I've seen one quite like it before. It's nicely balanced, but I prefer the Tiffany badge. I'm slightly prejudiced on this point, but take a look and compare for yourself....

Thanks for the link -
Mike

I agree about the Tiffany wings. I think they are without equal in terms of asthetics. I found the Haltom wings in my wings/insignia book by Morris. He favors them over all wings, but what does he know? LOL Just kidding.
BTW AAC,.
