As I said previously I'm really honoured. Our only problem arises if JohnMacG,
Colin A Owers, or greenknight win as that would mean YavorD doesn't get a go. The only way around this is for those three not to participate in this challenge which is terribly unfair :( ,however, C'est La Guerre. Gentlemen,- your planes are temporarily out of commission and you cannnot take to the air at the moment. This inconveinience, fortunately, lasts only this round.

I thought about something really hard and obscure but then I succumbed to the beauty of this one (which automatically rules out sea and float planes Varese  ).

If any one can tell me more about its performance etc I would be greatly pleased. I have blacked out details on the rudder to make this a little more difficult and of course normal 12hr for Aces rule applies.

Current scores:

17.5 Varese2002
8.6 Rod Filan
7.5 Rbailey

This was almost one of mine, but according to the information I found it was designed in 1919 and would therefore not technically qualify for the Challenge. There's a very good chance that my information, however, is inaccurate. If so, I'll take my place with the other leopards waiting to pounce when we hit the 12-hour mark.

Either way, she's a beaut.

I have her test flown in late 1918. I hope my info's not wrong! The disgrace of it all - and on the centenary challenge and all, such an Eric thing to do :p !

I also had a thought if any of the unfortunate three know the answer the first to pm it to me will get it added to their score after they are made ace! Gentleman your planes have been repaired. Thank-you riggers and fitters!

Hey!

I resemble that remark!

Don't worry Eric, so do I!

It appears that my source was wrong (based on multiple sources that say else wise). Apparently the design was begun by Ing Hellesen at the Norwegian haerens flyvemaskinfabrik (Army Aeroplane Factory) in the autumn of 1919. The prototype was flown in 1921" according to information provided by Varese. So a false start - the new centenary challenge coming up.
