The Photograph shows the above tags plus several other officers a Fokker A/c with ladder, and marquees in background. The writing on the reverse states" Found Oct 24th, after capture in German Headquarters Dugout at Bisseghe?? ( I assume it is Vissingen) by self.
Present- Von Kluck, Ludendorf, Little Willie
Baron Von Richtofen Being presented with Iron cross
Does anyone know if this is this a generally known photograph or something
not seen before?
RN
Richard- Welcome to the Forum. Post the photograph here and we will see if it is a well known photo. Hard to believe it is a presentation of an Iron Cross, however, unless taken very early in MvR's career. The luminaries you mention would not be presenting Iron Crosses, of which thousands were awarded.
To post a photograph, scan it, save it as a jpeg resolution 2. Then progressively lower the image size (dpi) until the image is less than 50 kb in size and save it. Hit the paperclip above, browse your files and open the document and then hit upload. Close the page. When you come back to your post, hit the paperclip again and click on the attachment. It will be added to your post.

Richard- Great photo and very well known. The aircraft is MvR's Albatros D.V D.2059/17 and the occasion is the visit of General der Infantrie Erich von Ludendorff. The visit took place on 19 August 1917 at the Jasta 11/JG I airfield at Marckebecke. Ludendorff was given the opportunity to look in the cockpit of the D.V.
Even though a well known photo, an original print is quite a treasure. I bid on one on E-Bay and it may be you who beat me out.
